About Me
I am a dentist with a passion for helping patients achieve optimal oral health and aesthetics. From a young age, I had an insatiable curiosity about the human body and a deep fascination with the art of healing. While my peers were content to simply watch television after school, I would retreat to my study room and experiment with makeshift dental devices, driven by an innate passion that would ultimately shape my future.
For two years, I honed my skills on the Sunshine Coast, tackling complex cases including full mouth rehabilitations. My expertise extends beyond restorative dentistry, as I am proficient in crafting splints to address bruxism, sleep apnea, and have a talent for working with children.
Qualifications:
After graduating from Sydney University in 2018, I pursued a Masters in Philosophy in Medicine (Research) where I investigated Temporomandibular Disorder (TMD) and pain (2013-2014). This research focus continued as I worked alongside TMJ specialists Dr. Anthony Au and Dr. Stephen Stratis. My commitment to ongoing education is further demonstrated by completing courses in endodontics, sleep medicine, and bruxism.
Holistic Approach to Dentistry:
For me, dentistry is a harmonious blend of art, science, and human connection. It is the way an engineer feels about designing, an artist about creating, and a scientist about innovating. With this holistic perspective, I set my sights on taking my passion for dentistry abroad, volunteering my services in underprivileged areas and immersing myself in the latest global trends and technologies.
Community Connection:
I’m passionate about giving back to the community whenever possible. I’m always looking for opportunities to use my skills to help others. Whether it’s volunteering at a dental clinic, participating in children’s health programs, or raising awareness about TMJ disorders, I believe in using my knowledge to make a positive impact.
Interests and Hobbies:
While dentistry is my main focus, I also enjoy a variety of activities outside the practice. I am a competitive and social hockey player, an avid hiker who loves exploring new places, and a lifelong learner who finds podcasts and videos on human behavior, psychology, and neuroscience fascinating.
